Ralph Plotke Jr. is an Associate at Avodah Legal, where he serves on the firm's corporate transactional team. He advises private, closely held businesses, owners, startups, and investors on a wide range of general corporate matters as well as investment, capital raising, and liquidity event transactions, including venture capital financings and mergers & acquisitions.

Whether structuring seed or Series rounds, negotiating complex equity deals, preparing for an acquisition or exit, or strengthening a corporate foundation, Ralph partners closely to align legal strategy with clients' long-term vision and goals.

Ralph graduated from Tulane University School of Law, where he earned a Certificate in Sports Law—the nation's first and oldest such program—equipping him with specialized knowledge in the intersection of law, business, and the sports industry. He also holds a Bachelor's degree from Providence College in Finance and Quantitative Economics, with a minor in Mathematics providing a strong foundation in financial analysis, economic modeling, and quantitative methods that inform his transactional work.

His background spans diverse legal and compliance environments, including internships with The Ella Project (providing pro bono support for New Orleans' cultural community), Saundra M. Gumerove & Associates (special needs and estate planning), the Rhode Island Treasury, Mizuho International plc, the Premier Lacrosse League, and the NCAA.

Outside the office, Ralph is passionate about woodworking, music, traveling, great films, and a good book. As Co-Founder of Pawsitive Advertising—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping shelter dogs find loving homes through creative advertising and community outreach—Ralph is committed to making a positive impact beyond the practice of law. He resides in Richmond and looks forward to engaging with and supporting the local entrepreneurial and business community.
